Every veteran leaves the military with a unique set of skills, discipline, and resilience. At Grandma’s Land, our mission is to translate those strengths into fulfilling civilian careers.
Our employment program offers career coaching, résumé building, interview preparation, and direct connections to veteran-friendly employers. But more than that—we help veterans find purpose-driven employment that aligns with their passions and strengths.
Many of our participants go on to become leaders in their fields, small business owners, or community advocates. We don’t just help them find a job—we help them find a calling.
Meet James, a former Marine who struggled to find his footing after service. With the help of Grandma’s Land’s employment readiness program, he landed a job in logistics—and within a year, was promoted to a management role. Today, James mentors fellow veterans starting their civilian careers.
Transitioning to the workforce is a major milestone. At Grandma’s Land, we ensure no veteran has to navigate it alone.

Whether it’s finishing a GED, pursuing college degrees, or gaining trade certifications, our education support programs are designed to meet veterans where they are. With help navigating the GI Bill, tutoring, and mentorship, we remove barriers that often keep veterans from going back to school.
But it’s not just about the academics. We foster a learning environment where veterans feel seen, supported, and encouraged to dream bigger.
Through our partnerships with local colleges and training centers, over 80% of veteran participants in our education program have completed certifications or degrees—opening doors to new career paths and lifelong growth.
At Grandma’s Land, we don’t just hand out resources—we walk alongside veterans on their journey to knowledge, confidence, and success.

Our housing programs provide more than just a roof over one’s head—they offer dignity, security, and a place where healing can begin. Veterans who come to us often arrive with nothing but hope. Through our housing initiatives, we help them reclaim their independence.
From emergency shelter to long-term affordable housing, Grandma’s Land tailors support to each individual’s needs. But the transformation doesn’t stop at housing—our veterans also receive access to wellness programs, mental health support, and life-skills training.
Over the past year, more than 150 veterans have moved from homelessness to permanent housing through Grandma’s Land—with over 85% maintaining stability for 12 months or more.
A home is more than four walls—it’s the first step toward a new beginning. At Grandma’s Land, we’re proud to be that first step.
